ok i don't know what to do here. 12 month is when you should be be switching to whole milk and taking out formula, however, he is still on the similac neosure, he has been on this, even though he was born full term because he lost too much weight while in the hospital, he had to have surgery the day he was born and spent the first two weeks in the hospital. his intestines where on the outside, and they had to remove some of it b/c of damage. he ended up being put 100% on the neosure which is 100 calories per 4 oz, to help him gain, but he still only gain about average amount of weight even with the high calorie formula and eating a good amount for his age, and he was in the 37%tile when during his last app. i feed him until he is full and he eats about 4 times a day. have thought about how to make up for the other calories he would get if he wasn't drinking formula and can not find any way to make up for the calories lost, but the corn and sweet potatoes, but it doesn't sound like a good idea to switch to just that to replace the formula fully. even whole milk is a little over half the calories that is in his formula. he is still on the jar food, we are working to try and get him over his gaging over lumpy food, so he is not taking table food yet. i have a well check app for my son on the 28th and am going to bring it up to him
